I Know I Can

All that I asked was to keep me strong
through the tough times.
Times when I could have gone wrong
or lost track a few times.

It was the matter of a few pounds
being pretty salient.
It was the times of ups and downs
turning me prudent.

Moments of distress and despairs
were never out for display.
Gave in the blood, sweat and tears
Knowing every dog has his day.

There was always a better plan
drafted well ahead.
A plan that is as best one can
better left unsaid.

The helping hands and listening ears
are here to stay.
To wipe tears and dispel fears
and bring a smile with no delay.

Now its time to set the sail
feeling like a new man.
Time for a vodka with ginger ale
